E3 Academy to Offer a Scholarship in Memory of History Teacher Robert Andrade

To honor their colleague, Robert Andrade, the staff of ECubed Academy is creating the Robert Andrade Citizenship Award. Andrade passed away in February after six years of teaching history at the high school.

According to a description of the scholarship, Andrade “exemplified citizenship in every sense of the word” by acts such as working with veterans at the home in Bristol, placing flags on the graves of deceased veterans, and helping students at ECubed. The award will be given to a graduating senior, chosen by a panel of the principal and senior teachers, who most exemplifies the qualities of citizenship that he held so dear.

Andrade joined PPSD in 2000 as a long-term substitute teacher and served as an English teacher at Central, Greene, DelSesto, Alvarez, Hope, and the Feinstein High School before arriving at ECubed.

Donations are being collected with the hope of making the scholarship an annual $100 award. If anyone would like to contribute, you may send a check made out to ECubed Academy and put the Robert Andrade Citizenship Award on the memo line. Please include whether you would like a letter as receipt of the tax-deductible donation.

Checks may be sent to:
