William D’Abate students were the center of attention at the Manton Avenue Project Spring Gala at the Roger Williams Park Casino on Monday May 4.

The students wrote and performed short plays, gave several singing performances, and were highlighted in videos of work they have accomplished in the Manton Avenue Project. The students were the stars of the evening and performed for many community partners, donors, contributing organizations, and local elected officials.

The Manton Avenue Project was created in 2004 and provided a program for Olneyville students, which unities them with professional artists to build students’ potential in the arts. The Project offers Clubhouse programs and play festivals, which provide opportunities for self-expression through theater and inspire and encourage students to become creative thinkers and community leaders.
