Students from West Broadway Middle School and Mount Pleasant High School sang “America the Beautiful” at a Providence Bruins game. The students were directed by the husband-wife team of Alexander Lucini (WBMS) and Danielle Trial Lucini (MPHS).

In a surprise ceremony before the school’s sixth grade, West Broadway Middle School math teacher Emily Mowry of Coventry, R.I. was honored with the Distinguished Educator Award from the Rhode Island Middle Level Educators.

At the reopening ceremony of West Broadway Middle School, city officials used the occasion to teach a lesson about perseverance and what can be accomplished when a community works together.

Families Enjoy Math Bingo at West Broadway

More than 100 students and their families, along with teachers and Principal William Black, enjoyed a fun night of math, pizza and fantastic prizes as West Broadway Middle School hosted Math Bingo on Thursday, October 28. After a light dinner of pizza and homemade desserts, participants had to solve math problems in order to advance on their bingo scorecards. Donated door prizes, valued at $175, were raffled for all in attendance.
